The perched village of Le Bar sur Loup is located between Grasse and Nice at the beginning of the picturesque Gorges du Loup.
Here, the best of both worlds exists with the peace and beauty of the countryside and the excellent proximity to the towns on the Riviera.
The village itself has good facilities, including numerous restaurants, several bakeries, butchers, general store, pharmacy, post office and tourist information.
The French Riviera has one of the world’s most pleasant climates. Weather is rarely bad; that’s why people come here! Sunshine runs between 2500 to 2800 hours per year and rainfall averages about 1100mm along the coast. Snow is extremely infrequent along the coast and heat waves are tempered by the sea. In the summer, temperatures frequently reach 30°C on the coast but it’s about 5° cooler in the mountains. Winter coastal temperatures range from 10°C to 15°C during the day, usually warm enough to lunch outdoors under the noon sunshine in little more than a T-shirt, even in February.
Perfectly situated between the mountains and Mediterranean coast,
La Bastide Saint Christophe is a few minutes walk away from the medieval village of Le Bar sur Loup, on the Côte d’Azur in the south of France.
The Bastide is set in a centuries old olive grove with uninterrupted panoramic views.
We offer spacious, well equipped and high quality accommodation, which is furnished with care in a comfortable Provençale style.
The fabulous 12 metre long swimming pool is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view.
In 1995 we moved to the south of France with the idea of staying for a couple of years but fell in love with the area and its amazing climate.
We were lucky enough to find “La Bastide Saint Christophe” and to make it our home!
Our passion is to offer our guests a sense of the beauty and tranquility that enchanted us when we moved here more than 20 years ago!
